UHMWPE chain wear strip/UHMWPE conveyor chain guide
Made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) with a molecular weight of 1.5 million to 5 million, this product is fabricated via extrusion or compression molding and subsequent CNC grooving machining. Embedded with internal steel channels for reinforcement, it limits and supports conveyor chains to avoid chain deviation and cut down friction loss. A key wear-resistant spare part for automated production lines, it can replace conventional steel and nylon guide rails.

Core Material Properties (Unique Advantages of UHMWPE)
Extraordinary Wear Resistance
Its abrasion resistance is 6–7 times that of carbon steel and over 5 times that of nylon, with extremely low wear loss. It hardly develops grooves on its surface and protects conveyor chains effectively. The service life of this guide rail is 3–8 times longer than steel guide rails, greatly cutting downtime for replacement.
Self-Lubricating, No Lubrication Required
Ultra-low friction coefficient ensures smooth dry operation without jamming. Lubricating oil can be eliminated in food, pharmaceutical and clean workshop environments to avoid product contamination by grease, saving labor and material costs for routine maintenance.
Noise Reduction & Vibration Damping
The flexible plastic absorbs impact from chains, reducing noise by 10–15 dB compared with metal guide rails. It mitigates workshop noise pollution and lowers equipment failures caused by vibration.
Corrosion Resistant & Non-Water-Absorbent
Resistant to immersion in acids, alkalis, wastewater and organic solvents. It will not rust, absorb water or swell/deform in humid, chemical and cold storage environments. Nylon guide rails tend to swell and jam chains after soaking, an issue nonexistent with UHMWPE.
Low Temperature Resistance & Superior Impact Strength
Operating temperature range: -50℃ to 80℃. It will not become brittle or crack in cold storage at subzero temperatures. It ranks first among all plastics in impact resistance and resists breakage under heavy impact.
Lightweight & Easy to Install
Only 1/8 the weight of steel. Pre-drilled mounting holes are provided for convenient installation. Worn sections can be replaced segmentally instead of the whole rail, simplifying disassembly and assembly.
